Product Description

This cheerful piece, originally written for guitar, has been arranged for the intermediate string quartet. It is written in the original key of E Major and features texture changes from pizzicato to arco, a light melodic line in violin 1, double stops and harmonization in violin 2 and viola, and syncopated rhythms throughout, with time changes between 6/8 and 3/4. Juan Alais (1844 - 1914) was an Argentine musician of British descent. He is known as the pioneer of concert guitar. This is an excellent choice for those looking to work out foundational skills of ensemble playing, and allows you to expand your repertoire with a Latin genre.

The PDF download contains both a full score and a set of individual parts - Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, and Cello. All individual parts are formatted on a single page to avoid page turns.
