A distinctive feature of this piece is its deliberate avoidance of conventional religious terms like Alleluia and Amen. Instead, it employs poetic imagery rooted in Chinese cultural expression. The phrase (sòng guāng hé xī) replaces Alleluia and replaces Amen, offering spiritual meaning without theological jargon.

This creative choice arose from the author's reflection on how religious vocabulary can sometimes create distance for Chinese-speaking audiences unfamiliar with or sensitive to such language.
In this reimagining, Light represents divine revelation, and Grace () evokes warmth and gentlenesslike sunlight on a face, or a breeze after rain. Sòng means to praise, while hé xī suggests harmonious radiance. conveys both a desire for union with Christ () and a state of reconciliation and harmony ().
