Colin Kirkpatrick Publications

Colin Kirkpatrick studied at London’s Royal College of Music and later followed a career in music education eventually becoming a Music Education Adviser in the UK. During his years in education, he wrote a great deal of music (under different names) which was published by several major publishers including Boosey & Hawkes, Novello, Paxton, Schott, and Oxford University Press. He also wrote articles for several British magazines and wrote regular reviews for The Times Educational Supplement. His music has been performed and broadcast all over Europe as well as in Japan, Thailand, Australia and the USA. 

Colin enjoys travel and has had the opportunity to travel extensively in South-East Asia. He also enjoys reading, wine, cooking and photography, though not necessarily all at the same time. He has lived in Thailand since 2004 and writes a regular classical music column and a wine column for one of Thailand’s English-language newspapers. He continues to compose and arrange music, especially music for young instrumental players.
