I'm Barry and I publish my arrangements, classroom resources and compositions under Resourceful Arrangements. With a diploma from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) and an MA (Honours) degree in Music and Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Glasgow, I bring a rich educational background to my work. My studies focused on composition, providing a strong foundation for my arranging skills.

Specializing in arrangements for guitar and piano, I occasionally venture into other instruments. My repertoire spans various genres, including pop, country, Christian, and more. I also create fingerstyle guitar arrangements, ensuring a diverse selection for musicians.

Drawing on my educational background, I strive to make my arrangements educationally valuable. I include detailed elements such as strumming patterns, fingerpicking techniques, fingering for complex passages, and chord diagrams. These features are designed to support learning, making my arrangements ideal for classroom use and student practice.

In addition to arranging, I compose original music and songs, which I am continually adding to my catalogue. My goal is to provide high-quality, accessible music that inspires and educates.
