As long as I could remember, I always wanted to be a musician.  From learning those first few notes on the recorder (which I still play in a few baroque chamber groups), playing endless bassoon scales (which I still play in various orchestras and bands), theory exams, conducting, composing and orchestration excercises, it hasn't always been easy, but it also has never felt like a chore because I enjoy what I do.  Ask anybody who knows me, and it won't be long before the term "Music Geek" is used to describe me.
A huge portion of my work is writing music for winds, whether it be for concert band or solo instrument and piano, but I'm equally at home arranging for strings and orchestra.  I just wish I had more time to do what I love.
I'm a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (BMusA), the Royal Northern College of Music (PGDip), and the Royal College of Music, London (MMus)
