Light and Shade A work written for the 2009 BTS South event (originally entitled Crown Capers). A slow and expectant introduction leads to an up tempo jazz like section. After a more relaxed and melodic middle passage the jazz mood returns, slowing to a reflective conclusion. The light sections can either be improvised or the written solos performed.
Parts in treble, tenor and bass clefs (bass trombone in bass clef only).
This version is for trombone quartet but would work on bassoon or cello.
Moderate to advanced.
