The phrase 'llyfr braslunio' is Welsh for 'sketch book'. Llyfr Braslunio is a collection for 8 short descriptive pieces, four of which I composed as a teenager in the 1980s. These original four pieces were meant to be developed into symphonies and sonatas etc but it was not until very recently (I'm in my 40s now) that I realised that these were complete - if brief - pieces in themselves. I wrote four new pieces to complement the older ideas.
