This is the traditional German "Stille, Stille, Stille" Christmas carol set for clarinet choir (one Eb clarinet, three Bb soprano clarinets, one alto clarinet, one bass clarinet and one contralto clarinet). An optional Bb contrabass clarinet part is included as a substitute for the Eb contralto clarinet part. This is a beautiful, scored piece that can bring out the gorgeous, warm sound of the clarinet. Arranged in the concert key of Db, the piece is very easily attainable by school musicians. Parts are kept in and near the warmer, chalmeau register of each instrument to bring out the warm, round sound we all look for in a clarinet. This piece would be a perfect addition to any Christmas concert!
