Product Description
This arrangements for string trio (2 violins/viola/opt. cello) has strong connections with jazz and blues. It is in the form of melody/variations/reprise. The variations are written in free fantasy style, similar to a jazz musician improvising over a set number of bars and chords. If unsure, please refer to the audio recording to get an idea of how the arranger intended these pieces to be played. The optional cello part is scored mostly 8vb to the viola part. However, for sound purposes, the trio sounds better with viola instead of cello.
