The art song (romance) "The Isle" («Островок») (Op. 14, No. 2) was composed by Sergei RACHMANINOFF (1873 1943) in 1896. In present edition the Russian lyrics by outstanding Russian poet Konstantin BALMONT (translated from English poet Percy Bysshe SHELLEY) with transliteration and equirhythmic English translation are inserted into the score.

The romance is available in the key of E major (C4 E5) for low voice.
