Product Description
The popular Christmas Carol "O Holy Night" by Adolphe Adam has been arranged for clarinet choir by Jeffrey Ouper. An audience favorite! Download includes score and parts for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, bass, contralto, and contrabass clarinet. An optional alto clarinet part is also included, which is essentially the 4th clarinet part transposed. There is some divisi in the 3rd and 4th clarinet parts and you do not need both contras for this arr. to work. The minimum number of players you would need is: 1 on 1st, 1 on 2nd, 2 on 3rd, 2 on 4th/alto, 1 on bass, and 1 of the contras. Larger ensembles may choose to have one player on the 1st part as a solo part.
The arrangement is just over 4 minutes in length and goes through 2 of the 3 verses. The first verse uses the original harmony and the 2nd verse offers new contemporary harmony for variety. The original key of the song is D-flat major, and this arrangement has been transposed to E-flat major. If a singer soloist wanted to sing along with this arrangement, he/she would need to be able to sing a high B-flat.
