Product Description
'From Now On' is one of Pasek and Paul's most famous songs, and has
taken on a special resonance in minority communities because of its
explicit fighting spirit, and message of hope, optimism and inclusion.
An upbeat marching finale, it asks the audience to pledge with the
singers that 'things will be different' from now on.
The original version of this
TTBB arrangement, with short bass/baritone solo at the start, was performed at the June 2019 Carnegie Hall massed performance
of 25 LGBTIQ+ choirs, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall
Uprising. It has since been sung across the US and around the world. The arranger had several requests for a lower TTBB version, so this one is revoiced down a minor third form the original. It
would suit a massed high school or college choir, or any large choir
committed to community and cause.
Please note this differs from the other TTBB arrangement on SMP by Charles Beale, because is in C, requires a bass soloist, and has less demanding choral parts.
Custom band parts are available separately from the arranger.
