With a theme tune that is still instantly recognized by all, PETER GUNN was a network television series broadcast from 1958 - 1961. Composer Henry Mancini won an Emmy Award nomination and two Grammys for the soundtrack. This 47 second arrangement is perfect for time-outs or pre/post-game.
Parts are formatted to fit in a flip-folder, but print on letter-sized paper if you prefer to use 3-ring binders.
The highly-flexible "BcP-Flex" scoring* imitates the classic rock band sound by using only 4 "instruments/voices" - lead, rhythm, bass, and drums:
Lead: Flute, Clarinets, Alto Sax, Trumpets
Rhythm: Trombone, Horn, TC Baritone, Tenor Sax,
Bass: Electric Bass, Tuba, Bari Sax
Drums: This arrangement does not include a written drum set part as it is often easier to get the drummer to "pick-up" the tune by listening to a recording of the original chart.
