Danse Hellenica was commissioned by Vance Regan and The Analy High School Honor Band in Sebastopol, California. I have enjoyed the music, the people and the seasons of Greece since I first began visiting over twenty years ago. While there are no direct quotes of Greek dance music, Danse Hellenica strives to capture that love of life that is so exemplified by this culture. As Plato said, "The dance, of all the arts, is the one that most influences the soul."
