Latino Hoedown has a Salsa/Caribbean flavor that will challenge your electric bass player and transport your audience to the Islands. It uses two polyphonic themes that create a 16 measure form. There is a printed solo jazz violin part supplied and chord changes appear in all the string parts to allow all students the chance to improvise. It is a good jumpingoff pace for students to experiment with jazz improvisation as they need to know just the D and G major scales. Utility percussion may be added to the drum set to add an even great Caribbean feel. A Violin 3 part is included to bolster the Viola section.
