Derek Hasted writes "This arrangement has a beguine-like beat - more like the original recordings than the rather laid-back rubato style of Frank Sinatras famous version.

And theres variety in this arrangement too - a brief interlude in tango-style expands the piece to a nice length for an informal concert.

The piece suits 5 guitars or 4 guitars plus a bass instrument - reading from either treble or bass clef.

A large ensemble will, of course, make a bigger and more compelling sound, and its fine to double up the bass instrument with a fifth guitar part. It is ideal for a mixed ability group - the lower parts can all be played in first position whereas the upper two parts reside up the neck.

This arrangement is based on a version that was played in concert by the Hampshire Guitar Orchestra - its pretty much guaranteed to get feet tapping in the audience...
