The lyrics include the text from the anonymous English language nursery rhyme, "Star Light, Star Bright" with the Roud Folk Song Index #16339. The superstition of hoping for a wish to come true when seeing a shooting or falling star originated in the ancient world. Wishing on the first star seen was first recorded in the late nineteenth-century in America and has now spread worldwide!
