Three familiar carols for the Christmas season are here arranged for SAB ensemble and piano. Two settings of Away in a Manger (Murray and Kirkpatrick) are juxtaposed with the Polish carol Infant Holy, Infant Lowly. The choral writing is very accessible for any choir of modest ability and the piano accompaniment is generally supportive of the voices. The final verse which uses both the Murray and Kirkpatrick melodies simultaneously could be sung a capella or with accompaniment. This not-too-difficult arrangement for choirs with limited male voices would make a lovely addition to your holiday concert or church service.
