Product Description
Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is the working title Mozart
gave to his Serenade no.13 for Strings
in G Major K525. This duet is of the famous Allegro first movement. However,
even though this is one of Mozarts best known and best loved melodies, more
than thirty years passed after his death before it was first published in 1827.
This version is arranged as a duet for one Flute and one Clarinet.
Musicians at an advanced intermediate level and
above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances, with both
parts enjoying melodic interest. The duet format gives more instrumentalists an
opportunity to play music that usually requires a quartet. The overall
performance time is around nine minutes with repeats, four and a half without. Both the short sample audio and the full-length youtube performance are the Clarinet Duet version.
Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help
with ensemble skills. There are various ornaments to negotiate, detailed
articulation and a wide range of dynamics. The sample recording is from the Two Clarinets version of this duet.
