Product Description
I Know Him So Well is the love duet from the musical, Chess, first released in 1984.
It was a huge no.1 hit in the UK for Barbara
Dixon and Elaine Paige, who performed
in the original stage production. This version is arranged as a duet for one Violin and one Viola.
Musicians at an intermediate level and above will
find this ideal for formal and informal concert performances, with both parts
enjoying melodic interest. The overall performance time is around three and a
half minutes. The sample recording is from the Clarinet and Alto Saxophone version of this duet. The complete youtube performance is from the Clarinet version.
Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help
with ensemble skills and expressive playing. There are some complex rhythms and
there will be opportunities to talk about the wide range of dynamics and how
they might be best achieved.
