Product Description

A Christmas Greeting by Edward Elgar set for flute quartet by John Gibson. Edward Elgar, well known for his Pomp and Circumstance pieces and The Enigma Variations, composed this Christmas Greeting in 1909 for 2 voices, 2 violins, and piano. The lyrics were written by his wife, Caroline. The phrase, "friends in storm or calm." sets the tone of the piece. This setting is for 3 flutes and alto flute (with an alternate C flute part provided). It runs about 4 1/2 minutes.
