This piano solo medley incorporates themes from "Winter" by Antonio Vivaldi into the African-American Christmas spiritual "Rise Up, Shepherd, and Follow." The piece begins with the opening theme from Vivaldi's 1st movement of "Winter" and then proceeds through two verses of the carol, interspersed with more variations on this movement from Vivaldi's famous concerto "The Four Seasons." This is one of three arrangements following this pattern of combining Christmas carols with the movements from "Winter." The other two arrangements as well as the collection of all three together are available separately.
