One of the traditions surrounding Christmas is the predominance of the colors green and red. These colors as well as other colors associated with Christmas take on significant meaning when used to symbolize the various beliefs of the Christian faith: green for eternal life in Christ and red for the blood he shed on the cross. This song musically expresses the symbolism of these colors and their connection to the birth and life of Jesus.

Arranged in the key of G major for a 4-part mixed voice a cappella choir, the vocal ranges are as follows (C4=middle C): Soprano--B3 to D5; Alto--G3 to A4; Tenor--D3 to D4; Bass/Baritone--G2 to G3. The tune is up-beat and easy-to-learn making it suitable for choirs from high school age and up. Duration 2:00.
