Product Description

"On Écrit Sur Les Murs" is a song composed by Romano Musumarra and written by Jean-Marie Moreau, for Demis Roussos in 1989. Singer Nicole Hohloch covered a German cover titled Jeder Zaun, jede Mauer wird aus Blumen sein in 1992. The song was covered in 2007 by the band Worlds Apart. In 2008, she was part of a musical panel during a concert by Les Enfoirés, the main performers were Bénabar and Maxime Le Forestier, accompanied by Francis Cabrel, Gérald de Palmas, Patrick Fiori, Garou, David Hallyday, Catherine Lara and Christophe Mae. In 2015, the song was covered by Kids United as the lead single from their album A Better World as part of a UNICEF campaign. The aforementioned song quickly became the emblem of Kids United, thus accumulating more than 300 million views on Youtube to date, a record for all the group's songs. In April 2016, We Write on the Walls is taken over by the Quebec group RAFFY. This version becomes the theme song for the Foundation Véro et Louis (founded by Véronique Cloutier and Louis Morissette), and part of the profits raised from the sale of the title will be donated to this new association aimed at meeting the needs of autism adults in Quebec. The title was immediately a big hit, taking the top spot on iTunes sales for several days. In 2017, Les Enfoirés once again performed this title, sung by Tal, Soprano, Grégoire, Amir, Michaël Youn, Lorie Pester, Jeff Panacloc, Liane Foly, Jean-Baptiste Maunier, Bénabar and Claire Keim. There is a version in the movie Despicable Me whose lyrics were changed.
