Product Description

I am a Man of Constant Sorrow became a sensation as the theme song to the movie, "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" but is actually a traditional fold song first published by Dick Burnett in 1913. Versions of this song date back even further to the mid 1800s.

I would describe my arrangement as similar to bluegrass banjo picking style. I rate this song as intermediate fingerstyle since it is played completely in the 1st position and has no barre chords but does require a fair amount of hammer-ons and pull-offs. Since it is played in an upbeat tempo it is probably best played in cut time after learning the piece.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
