Hazuki () is the Japanese name for August with the literal translation of 'Month of leaves'.

The different sections of this piece were inspired by this time of year. Especially the middle section, in which I was inspired by the music that is typically associated with the Japanese Matsuri (Festival), which tends to happen around August time.

This piece, also, features a narrative element in the way I have arranged it. Each section comes together to tell a complete story with highs and lows, tensions and releases to create a satisfying crescendo and conclusion.
