Product Description

Ferdinand David was a German Jewish violinist and composer, born in Hamburg. Although he composed a series of works with violin as solo instrument, his Concertino for Trombone op. 4 became his most frequently performed work, as it is a required piece for trombonists. The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer on 17 May 2014 at the Great Hall of the Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg, Austria. The trombone solo part was performed by Dany Bonvin, solo trombone of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and professor for trombone at Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
