This was one of just three songs written for a never-produced musical. Special Feature sang it in their first ever contest in March, 1989 and recorded on their first album. (This version is slightly different that the SF version) It's a pathetic ballad in the true sense of the term. In the musical it's sung by the male lead whose wife has been killed in a pedestrian incident. Though it is not the kind of story everyone wants to hear or tell on the regular, it does have a classic early Tin Pan Alley feel and is packed with tons of Classic Barbershop harmonies. A tall order, but one with tons of potential for a Seniors quartet. Arranged for TTBB, it could likely be adapted for other voices. For sure worth a look and listen.
