Emilie Mayer is not well enough known. She was a composer of music in the Romantic Style and was known as the "female Beethoven" owing to her innovative approach to her composition. She was also prolific in her output despite starting seriously later in life owing to a lack of confidence in her ability.
This concert overture is full of depth, brilliance and energy which will make it an excellent starter for performances.
As usual with my parts; print them double-sided, including title pages where present, and the page turns will work where possible.
