Rhapsody in Blue is a 1924 musical composition for solo piano and jazz band by George Gershwin. Commissioned by bandleader Paul Whiteman, the work combines elements of classical music with jazz-influenced effects and premiered in a concert titled "An Experiment in Modern Music" on February 12, 1924, in Aeolian Hall, New York City. Whiteman's band performed the rhapsody with Gershwin playing the piano. This is a version for full orchestra 2121. 2331. Banjo. Timp Percussion and Strings. This complete arrangement can be used without 2nd flute 3rd trumpet, tuba and Banjo. A full score aand all parts included including the solo piano part.
