Product Description

The Russischer Marsch (Russian March) was written by Johann Strauss Jr. for his last trip to Russia in 1886 and dedicated to Tsar Alevander III. It premierd on 29 April 1886at the Riding Hall of the Guard Regiment in St. Petersburg originally titled "Garde à Cheval". The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their "New Year's Concert" on 6 January 2009 at the Great Hall of the Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg, Austria.
