A solemn and dignified arrangement of the tune America with the military bugle call Taps. After a brief intro the horn leads the lower brass, then the 2nd trumpet takes the lead. At the second playing of America, the 1st trumpet enters with Taps. Near the end there are three striking cadences which reach a climax in measure 40.
