J S Bach - Movement ii from Orchestral Suite no. 3 BWV 1068 (Air on the G String) Originally in D major.

J S Bachs iconic Air or Aria was made especially famous by a 19th-century arrangement which transposed the score so that the principal part could be played entirely on the G string of the violin.

This arrangement is transposed from the original D major to G major allowing a greater range of the guitar to be used, and for the inner voices to sound without crossing the lower parts. The parts are balanced so that each player has plenty of melodic and technical interest.

The score comes fully-fingered. Of course, each guitarist is free to adapt the fingering to suit their own technique and style.

All dynamics and directions of tempo are my suggestions and not Bachs. Once again, players should feel free to ignore these and apply their own.

In a single download, the score is provided with notes and TAB, notes only, as are all parts so that each teacher and player can use a setting which suits them.
