Here's a beautiful arrangement of the popular song by Billy Joel.

Suitable for good university or professional-level players. Trombones 1 and 2 should both be comfortable in the upper range (to high C). The first trombone part is provided in bass or tenor clef. Playing time is about 3:20.

The song was written by Billy Joel in 1983, though it was not released until six years later. It appeared as the tenth and final track of his 1989 studio album Storm Front. The song was inspired by the Scottish ballad Barbara Allen...when asked to name the definitive Billy Joel song, Joel said And So It Goes. (Wikipedia)

A former military musician, Kevin Riley is presently musical director of The Allegro Wind Band and Andover Light Orchestra, and conductor of the Clifton Wind Band. He regularly composes and arranges for these ensembles, and recently has been commissioned to arrange music for several other ensembles, including KlassX, Salut Salon, Berkshire Maestros, Bedford Music Services, and the Heritage Light Orchestra. Kevin teaches at Thorngrove Prep School in Highclere.
