Product Description

Written in 1898 for piano solo, Papillon, Op. 6, also known as 'Leptir' is a charming and expressive small piano work painting an image of a butterfly's fleeting movements in the air. The composer, Countess Maria Theodora Paulina "Dora" Pejačević, once forgotten to time but recently rediscovered and widely played is one that all musicians are highly encouraged to keep a look out for her expressionist and modernist style of composition.

Originally in E minor, the piece has been transposed to B minor for playability. Suitable for intermediate players comfortable 1st-4th, and lightly on 5th. An ossia is inclusive for octaving a single note (B4) beyond the indicated range.
