Beautiful VIOLA (and EASY PIANO) arrangement of the piece: "Meditation" (from the opera "Thais") by Jules Massenet.
(Score and viola part: 9 pages).

This arrangement presents an adaptation in a new key to transform the original piece (composed for violin) into a version for VIOLA that fits to the "tessitura" (range) of this instrument, and also, the PIANO part was adapted to make it simpler than in traditional versions, but without losing the beauty of the accompaniment (making accompaniment more accessible for intermediate pianists).
The Meditation is part of the opera Thaïs and is one of the most beloved compositions by French composer Jules Massenet. The opera premiered at the Opéra Garnier in Paris on March 16, 1894 and this piece is originally a symphonic intermezzo in Act II.

Other features of this sheet music:
- Easier piano accompaniment: This way, the soloist can be accompanied by intermediate level or amateur pianists.
- Chord symbols not included: but, if you prefer, there is also a version of this same arrangement with the chord symbols on this website (allowing the duet to be accompanied by another harmonic instrument, or even for a better understanding of the harmonic structure of the piece).
