Take a wonderful musical journey to Agrabah with Michael J. Glasgow's handbell arrangement of Arabian Nights, the catchy opening tune from the Walt Disney films and stage show Aladdin!
Scored for 5, 6 or 7 octaves of handbells (with an optional B1!) and 3 octaves of handchimes, the arrangement begins in A minor and ends in B minor, and captures spirited elements from the original animated film, the 2019 live-action movie,* and the stage production. Choreography notes are included to make quick work of tricky chromatic passages.
This product is NDM-0006I, which is the companion instrument pack for Glasgow's handbell arrangement (NDM-0006B). It includes a full conductor's score, as well as parts for bass, congas, and one or more auxiliary percussionists. Add these folks and you'll make a real entrance!
Instrumentation Details:
Bass: straightforward, gets a bit high (an octave above open G), all pizz., for electric or upright bass.
Congas: straightforward part with extended rhythmic ostinato (easier to learn but sometimes needs more cues).
Auxiliary Percussion: very active part for one extremely advanced player, but very accessible when split between two or more. Instruments used are Finger Cymbals, Mark Tree, Bell Tree, Tambourine, Gong, Suspended Cymbal and Slapstick.
