Product Description

The flower island "Mainau", picturesquely situated in Lake Constance, has been cared for and maintained by the House of Counts Bernadotte for decades. This march was created as a small thank you, which on the one hand shows the family ties to the Swedish royal family through the fanfare-like beginning, and on the other hand the beauty of the landscape and the Lake Constance area (with the tubular bells as a symbol of the bells of the Chapel of Holy Mary of the castle, up to a folk-like conclusion that shows the role of the island of Mainau as a tourist attraction for all sections of the population. The march was presented by the composer to Björn Count Bernadotte on the island of Mainau in July 2024. It will be premiered in September 2024 by German Winds and the Band of the Scots Guards in the Royal Military Chapel in London.
