1. Tell me the story of dear Jesus' birth,
When as a baby He came down to earth.
Leaving all glory and honor behind,
Humbly to serve, then to save humankind.

CHORUS
Born in a stable so far from His home,
One day to return there to take up His throne.

2. Angels rejoiced on that glorious day.
Tidings of joy shared as fears fell away.
Shepherds first sought Him in old Bethlehem,
Worshiping He who would shepherd all men.

CHORUS
 
3. Wise men of old came to worship Him too,
Bringing Him gifts of great worth not a few.
One day He too would a gift giver be,
Giving His life to set everyone free.

CHORUS

4. Laid in a manger, His bed made of stone,
Lifted by Joseph when crying alone.
Soon in a tomb made of stone would He lie.
Father would lift Him from death to the sky.
