Charles Williams (1893 - 1978) was a British composer and conductor who contributed music to over 50 films and wrote a considerable amount of light music, including 'Devil's Galop'. 'While I Live' is a 1947 British drama film, best remembered for its musical theme "The Dream of Olwen" composed by Charles Williams, which became hugely popular in its time and is still regularly performed. Orginally for piano and orchestra this verssion is for solo piano. Lasting about 4 minutes this is an effective mini-concerto suitable for recitals or lighter music oportunities.
