A hymn concertato arrangement of just verses 3 & 4 (soprano descant, unison choir/congregation, brass quintet & organ). Ideal repertoire for Christmas Day. Verse 3 is in G major and the new and fresh descant is supported by the organ and enhanced by the 1st trumpet. A two bar link passage allows for an upward key change to A flat major, an ideal key for both choir/congregation and brass quintet to proclaim in unison Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning. The two trumpets provide a fitting descant for this verse with the soprano descant beginning at the 38th bar. The full score downloads with a one page choral/descant score, five individual brass parts and a two page organ score attached.
