Introduction

In the Disney movie "Rapunzel in the Tower (released in 2011)," Rapunzel is imprisoned in a tower, but through her journey with Eugene, she finds her lost dreams, hopes, and courage, and sings this duet on a boat on the lake where they arrive.
The scene of countless lanterns soaring in the night sky is very beautiful, and the ascending phrase that appears many times in the chorus melody seems to express the hero's never-giving-up spirit as well as the scene.
I recommend this piece as an encore piece to be played at the end of a concert, praying for the future. (Yoshiko Uchida).

Performance advice

Express the pure and gentle melody with a clear and beautiful tone.
Do not let the sixteenth note from rehearsal number G stand out only in terms of technique; sing each note carefully and play it with smooth legato. (Kei Ito)
