A Guajira is one of the "Ida y Vuelta" ("there and back") musical styles which "travelled back" from Latin America, in this case Cuba, and intergrated into flamenco.

It is counted as a 12-beat rhythmic pattern 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12, represented here as a combination of 6/8 and 3/4 meters.

This piece is composed for a classical guitar quartet or ensemble of around grade 4-5 level, and no speicalist flamenco technique is required. I have performed the [piece suiccessfully many times with my own ensemble of around 20 players.
