Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence is an ancient chant based on scriptures in the Old Testament. Originally composed in Greek for the Offertory of the Divine Liturgy of St James, it dates back to the 3rd century AD. In the 19th century, Ralph Vaughan Williams arranged it for Picardy, a French medieval folk melody, and it became popular with Protestant congregations in Great Britain and the U.S. This arrangement is for Intermediate SAB (soprano, alto, baritone) Choir with a piano accompaniment. A separate sheet for voices is included along with the score.
