A dramatic and versatile new three-voice setting of the English carol, originally from The Pageant of the Shearmen and Tailors. Set for STB soloists or choir, and easily adapted to SATB choir by combining SA or AT, or a combination of both. Harmonies honor tradition while including just enough contemporary spice to communicate the story to today's listeners. The simple frame drum part representing Harod's soldiers is embedded in the score and easily performed by one of the singers if not by a separate percussionist.
