This is a guitar arrangement of one of the two minuets (BWV Anh. 114 and 115) from a suite for harpsichord by Christian Petzold (1677 - 1733), which were included in the 1725 Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach and thus previously attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750).

The minuet has been meticulously transcribed for the guitar by Pedro Abreu (b. 1977) in 2022, and features the same ornaments as the ones included in the 1725 Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach. Abreu's attention to detail is reflected in the carefully crafted fingering, which balances the stylistic expectations of the era with the technical possibilities of the guitar.
