Product Description
From a series of duets for clarinet and guitar called "The poem is the song".
This one is based on the mediæval song about Aucassin and Nicolette: Qui vauroit bons vers oïr del deport du viel antif.
Translation by A S Kline:
Who would like to hear a song,
of a tale of ancient times,
of two little children, fair,
Nicolette and Aucassin,
of the great pains they endured,
of the deeds that he achieved,
for his love and her bright face,
gentle the song, sweet to speak
well founded, and of courtesy.
There is no one so dismayed,
so sad, or in such evil state,
ill with illnesses so deep,
wholl not be healed if they hear,
and be renewed again by joy,
it is so sweet.
It is performed here by
Balázs Rumy clarinet
András Csáki guitar
