Mexican folk song popularized by Cortes in 1882. You may recognize the chorus: Ay ay ay ay.

This arrangement is in 3/4 time and begins with the common Mexican music technique of harmonizing the melody in 3rds. The melody the repeats with a more Classical type arrangement and then repeats again with the melody in the bass and arpeggios on top. The first part can then be repeated.

This is a fun and impressive piece to play and at a somewhat advanced intermediate level of difficulty.
