This original work for 3-6 octaves of handbells recalls the days of touring up and down the Sacramento on a riverboat. It was commissioned by the Sacramento Area Handbell Director's Association and premiered by the 2003 Spring Ring in Sacramento. It's in two parts: the outer parts are a work song with a driving beat, and the inner part is a RiverBoat Captain's song that's very lyrical and somber. It is dramatic and theatrical, with a thrilling ending. The piece comes with a separately published English handbell part, percussion ensemble (optional), and full score. It accessible by any handbell choir. The price for the percussion part allows for up to four (4) copies.
