Once again, my mind goes to food. What can I say? But this is no random title. Hero refers of course to the subtitle of Beethovens third symphony, the Eroica. Just as in "Sixth Sense", my piece begins a lot like the original, but soon goes astray - into a blues style which Beethoven never knew. There IS drama here, along with the witty stuff. After all, it is Odd BEETHOVEN. And Beethoven is synonymous with drama as well as with wit! The overall mood is whimsical and fun and the piece is brief, making it a perfect encore piece short and sweet.
